Starla and I have been friends for 11 years now. I have always known her to be an honest, caring, fun loving girl. Starla is the type of person that reminds you of all the joys in life. Unfortunately life has recently dealt Starla a difficult hand. As she was telling me of her diagnosis of Choriocarcinoma cancer she did it with such optimism in her voice. No doubt everything was going to be just fine. For those who know nothing of this cancer, its an aggressive cancer of the placenta. Choriocarcinoma cancer spreads quickly. The good new is that It is 90 to 95 percent curable as long as it doesn’t spread to the liver or brain. So far it has only spread to her lungs. As she begins her journey and road to recovery with chemo treatments, She’ll have the love and support of her sweet husband Ryan and her 3 beautiful boys. This is a family that will grow in their love for each other as they endure this time in their life, looking forward with excitement to a time that they will get to do their favorite family activities again. Those boys keep Starla and Ryan busy with camping, fishing and all the baseball games. Starla absolutely loves every minute of it. Starla loves being a mom and a wife and she it great at it.
